Iowa State Cyclones eye a new era under Jimmy Rogers, banking on toughness and a dynamic run game to fuel their Big 12 campaign. Aiden Flora emerges as the frontrunner in the running back room, bringing breakaway speed and versatility, while Camp Pettaway’s contact balance and pass-catching skills give the offense another weapon. Can a running-back-by-committee approach and an unrelenting focus on physicality set the Cyclones apart? Host Nick Marvitz breaks down John Johnson’s strategy for maximizing a hungry, unproven backfield and analyzes why 2026 could be a make-or-break year for Iowa State football. The conversation explores how looming NCAA eligibility and transfer rule changes may force Rogers to quickly shift recruiting tactics, putting added pressure on immediate success. How will Iowa State navigate these seismic shifts—and can toughness alone power them to the top of the conference?
